The University of Graz is one of the largest institutions in the country. A clear structure organises the various areas and thus creates the foundation for efficient processes.

The University of Graz is a legal entity under public law. It is organised into six faculties.
The Rectorate, University Council and Senate are the governing bodies of the University.
The Universities Act 2002 forms the legal basis for this. In addition, each university issues its own regulations within the framework of laws and ordinances.

Protection against discrimination

The creation of a non-discriminatory working environment characterised by respect and appreciation is an important concern for the University of Graz.
